Casa Quetzal (Sayulita, Mexico)

Casa quetzal is a beautiful house up on the North side of Sayulita, in the Nanzal Hill, built facing towards the ocean, catching every ocean breeze making this house cool and fresh.  The North side is full of aesthetically pleasing houses. This is the most exclusive yet cozy area in town. The homes in this área are very neat and clean; yet, it gives you a very calmed and quite vibes even when you are just a few blocks away from downtown. This area has easy access to public transportation, the beach and highways without needing to go through downtown. The northside beach is always less crowded than the main beach. Nanzal área is one of the neighborhoods from the north side. This área a highly desirable location that makes it worth the effort for the right buyer candidate. Nanzal is all about the view, sunsets and nature.

From every room of Casa Quetzal there are amazing views.  The windows are doors that totally open up towards the ocean.  You can see it everywhere, in every room and hear the waves rolling into the sandy beaches.   Very comfortable and breezy. Sayulita can get noisy especially around the Holidays and Spring Break and Casa Quetzal is a welcome refuge from all the bustle, yet only minutes away from the pueble and the beaches.

The roof is one huge space with hamacas, a BBQue and a table large enough to seat 8 people.  Up here you can see eye to eye with the seagulls and every once in a while if you are lucky with the eagles.

The whole top floor is one open space.  Fully functional kitchen with granite counters and bar chairs ideal for breakfasts and snacks.  Traditional style Mexican dishes, Italian stove-top espresso maker, blender, pots  & pans, etc…  The dining room has a table to seat six people overlooking the pueblo and the living room with it’s comfortable traditional ‘equipaque’ furnitures.  There is a small bathroom, a toilet and a sink.

Downstairs are the three bed rooms.  All open up fully towards the sea.  The master bed-room with a king-sized bed has it’s own bathroom, shower and little balcony overlooking the garden. The middle room (with two twin-sized beds, ideally for children, but can be pushed together to make a king bed for a couple) and the third bed room (with king-bed) share a bathroom, each room has it’s own sink and closet area, but the shower and toilet are shared. Mosquito nets are provided for each bed.  Hanging there, ready to be used.

On the next floor down there is a small bed-room with it’s own bathroom, toilet sink vanity and shower.  Although this room is on the bottom of the house, with it own, huge patio it still has an unobstructed view of the ocean.
